Near the city of Lausanne, there is some famous "terrace-like" vineyard that dominate the lake "Leman".
25 kilometers aways, above the city of Montreux, begins the mountains range called the "Pre-Alpes" followed by the "Alpes" range with several summits above 4000m. The "Alpes" are the natural border between Switzerland, France and Italy.
It's a large snow-field that's well know and is very important for tourism and for the economical-life of Switzerland's French part.
